Office Manager : Sally-Ann Barrow

Trinidadian born Sally-Ann joined CARTAC on November 27, 2008 as an Administrative Assistant and has subsequently taken up the position of Office Manager. Her work experiences involve several years in the public service of Trinidad and Tobago, managing the Arrivals Duty Free Store for sixteen years and Executive Assistant to the head of DFID Caribbean. She is the proud mother of two children and is actively involved with swimming as a FINA official. Her other hobbies include cooking, baking and art and craft.
Executive Assistant to PC / Administrative Assistant - Information Technology : Lisa Squires
Lisa joined the CARTAC staff in June 2007 as an Administrative Assistant - Information Technology. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Barbados and Nova Southeastern University, Florida. She also brings to CARTAC several years of experience in the area of Information Technology and Business Administration. Lisa currently acts as the Executive Assistant to the Programme Coordinator and she is also responsible for the IT function in the office which includes maintenance of the website and the creation and distribution of the quarterly newsletter.
Administrative Assistant : Marina Taitt

Marina has worked in the private and international business sectors as an executive secretary and administrative assistant for many years, in Jamaica, Guyana, Barbados and the USA. Her 'first love' is the arts and culture of the Caribbean region, and she maintains close ties with the arts community. Marina worked for several years as the Office Manager/Assistant to the Programme Coordinator at CARTAC but has recently reorganized her responsibilities at work and now provides part-time general administrative support within the office.
Accountant : Jessica Lloyd
Jessica has been working for CARTAC from its inception in 2001. Prior to this assignment, she was employed by UNESCO/CARNEID for just over 12 years with the responsibility for the maintenance of the accounting and financial records as well as day to day administrative functions of the office. Her extra-curricular interests include reading, cooking and travelling for pleasure.
Administrative Assistant - Accounts : Bonnie Savannah-Rose
Bonnie Savannah-Rose joined CARTAC on June 1, 2007 as Administrative Assistant - Accounts. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies (UWI) Cave Hill Campus but remains actively involved as a member of the UWI Cavite Chorale. Bonnie is passionate about the performing arts, traveling and cricket. She also race walks and hikes with the Barbados National Trust.
Administrative Assistant : Sonia Prescod

Sonia joined CARTAC in August 2006 as an Administrative Assistant providing support to short term experts in the field. Prior to this she was employed in an Administrative capacity with the United Nations ILO Office in Barbados. This busy mother of three still finds time to unwind in her garden and enjoys brisk walks on the beach after work.
Administrative Assistant : Shirley-Ann Lovell
Shirley-Ann joined CARTAC on January 5, 2009 as an Administrative Assistant providing support in the area of workshops and training events. Prior to joining CARTAC she spent a number of years with the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) and also had a short stint in the banking industry. The busy mother and wife still finds time to look after her orchids and other plants, her potted kitchen garden and also goes walking on evenings and enjoys road tennis.
Administrative Assistant : Renée Springer

Renée officially joined the CARTAC staff in February 2009, having worked at CARTAC on a temporary basis in 2008. Her courteous voice and bright smile greets callers and welcomes visitors to the CARTAC office. In addition to her Receptionist duties, she provides general administrative support to the office. Renée brings with her a wealth of experience having worked in an administrative capacity in a wide cross section of industries including the insurance, financial services, tourism, engineering and banking sectors.
Administrative Assistant : Aysha Springer
Aysha joined CARTAC in October 2009 as an Administrative Assistant responsible for training and workshop events. She completed her degree in Hospitality and Tourism at Ryerson University in Toronto, then went on to work at the Barbados Tourism Authority-UK office for 4 years. After spending more than ten years abroad and living in several countries including Canada, Australia, England and Brazil she is now happy to be back in Barbados permanently. On her time off Aysha enjoys dance, travel and reading a good book.
Driver / Office Assistant : Everton Blackett

In 2001 when the CARTAC office opened its doors in Barbados, Everton Blackett was employed as the Office Driver. However, over the subsequent six years, his role has greatly expanded as he has acquired various skills which have enabled him to assist with many of the administrative-related office procedures. Having been on board from the very beginning, Everton has had the privilege of working with all of CARTAC's previous Programme Coordinators and now supports Ms Turner-Jones. Everton has enjoyed working with each and every one of them and has high praises for the whole CARTAC team which he playfully refers to as "the Cartacians".
